HIAF Superconducting Linear Cryogenic Distribution System Successfully Shipped

Date:2024-11-28 The High-Intensity Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) is one of the major national science and technology infrastructure projects planned during China's 12th Five-Year Plan. It is designed to generate extreme nuclei far from the stability line, offering the highest peak current low-energy heavy ion beams internationally, with a maximum energy of 4.25 GeV/u per nucleon, and the highest measurement precision atomic mass spectrometer internationally. This facility provides cutting-edge research conditions for the identification of new nuclides, expanding the nuclide map, studying weakly bound nuclear structures and reaction mechanisms, and precisely measuring short-lived nuclei far from the stability line.
The HIAF superconducting linear cryogenic distribution system will provide the low-temperature operating conditions required for the superconducting linear accelerator and ensure the stable operation of the system. Pengli Cryogenic has provided 17 sets of cryogenic valve boxes, 1 end box, 140m of main cryogenic pipelines, and 1 cryogenic control system for this project.
After more than two months of continuous efforts from the project team, the system was successfully installed, debugged, and passed the on-site tests on the first attempt, fully validating the system's design and execution efficiency and reliability.
During the entire project process, Pengli Cryogenic's project team adhered to the core goal of "high-quality performance," managing every detail from design and processes to project management, ensuring that all tasks were interconnected, precise, and efficient. The team quickly responded and set up an efficient communication and collaboration mechanism, ensuring the project progressed smoothly as planned.
